Investing in infrastructure's future

Transforming Infrastructure Delivery

Investing in the companies that change how America builds and maintains its transportation infrastructure.

The TIDe Fund is a planned investment vehicle, affiliated with Infrastructure Ventures and being organized to back early-stage companies whose technology makes highways, bridges, rail, and transit safer, more efficient, and more sustainable to deliver, and to bring them the one thing capital alone cannot: a path into the agencies and contractors that buy.

Thesis

Transportation infrastructure is becoming a technology market. The winners will be the companies that understand how it buys.

Public and private investment in the nation's infrastructure is at a generational high, and the shift to digital delivery is happening in front of us. What has not changed is how state DOTs, owners, and contractors adopt new technology: through their own champions, procurement paths, and peer networks. TIDe sits at the intersection of public policy, industry expertise, and technology, and invests where those three meet.

  • Collaboration

Companies that help public and private stakeholders work together across the life of a transportation asset, from planning through long-term management.

  • Efficiency

Technology that cuts cost, shortens project timelines, and raises productivity in design, construction, and asset management.

  • Safety

Innovations that protect workers and the traveling public and reduce crashes and fatalities on America's roadways and work zones.

  • Sustainability

Solutions that reduce environmental impact and build resilience, including low-carbon materials and the tools to measure and manage them.

Beyond capital

What a portfolio company gets that a check cannot buy.

Strategic guidance from people who have run the federal and state agencies that buy, and who have built and sold companies into this market.

Introductions into a network of state DOTs, contractors, technology partners, and industry associations, used deliberately and at the right moment in a company's growth.

Access to IV Strategies, the advisory practice of our affiliate Infrastructure Ventures, for market navigation and federal policy work as a company scales.
